Welcome to Muntham House School, a residential non-maintained special school community that supports the individual needs of young people with behavioural, emotional and social problems which cause disruption to their educational development. These may also manifest themselves in ADHD, ODD and those within the higher functioning areas of the Autistic Spectrum.
Established in 1953 as an educational trust, the school meets all the requirements of the Department for Education and Skills.
Our challenging work with young people gives outstanding value to their lives through a programme of negotiation modelling and behaviour management.
Set in 21 acres of West Sussex countryside between London and the South Coast, the school provides training opportunities for those concerned in meeting the needs of pupils like ours; and parents, Carers, Educational and Care Professionals have benefited greatly from the excellence of the professional development programme on offer which features training in de-escalation, behaviour management, P.R.I.C.E physical management, learning and caring programmes for BESD young people.
In addition, the school grounds and premises can be hired for off-site meetings, training and social occasions.
This website is alive with examples of the outstanding practice at Muntham House where we also give outstanding value for money, and I know that you will be impressed by what you find. Better still, why don't you come and visit?
